The City of Watervliet DPW, Water and Sanitation Departments will be closed in observance of Election Day on November 4th (City Hall will be open) and  on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day  (this includes City Hall).  For both weeks, Tuesday garbage will be picked up on Wednesday, Wednesday garbage will be picked up on Thursday and Thursday garbage will be picked up on Friday.   City Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th in observance of Thanksgiving.  DPW, Sanitation and Water Departments will be off on Thursday, November 27th in observance of Thanksgiving but will be working on Friday, November 28th.  Thursday garbage will be picked up Friday.  There will be no lawn and leaf pickup on November 7th, 14th and 28th.
