The City of Watervliet Snow Emergency will begin on Monday, January 26th at 10:30 a.m. at which time the following streets will be plowed curb to curb – (1) 19th Street, (2) Second Avenue (uptown), (3) Broadway – from 25th Street to the Congress Street Bridge, (4) Grotto Court and Ball Place, (5) Third Avenue (downtown – Port Schuyler).   Vehicles on the street during this time will be towed.    If for some reason they do not get through this schedule, they will begin where they left off tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. and then proceed to do the rest of the City.  If your street is not on this list, please make sure you use today to shovel your car out.   Police cars will come up the streets with sirens signaling you to move your car.  Cars that are not moved, will be towed and a $300 tow/ticket fee will be issued.
